They should be considered separately from the final appearance or texture direction.

Powder Coating

Powder Coating can be discussed for aluminum honeycomb panel projects according to the required color, appearance and panel specification.

Final color and gloss are confirmed with the approved physical sample and order specification.

Water-Based Paint

Water-Based Paint can be discussed for projects requiring painted surface appearances.

The final color, texture and gloss are confirmed according to the approved physical sample and order requirements.

PVC Decorative Film

PVC Decorative Film can be discussed for decorative aluminum honeycomb panel applications.

Different appearance directions may be available depending on the selected film and project requirements.

Final film appearance is confirmed by physical sample.

PET Decorative Film

PET Decorative Film can be discussed for decorative panel applications requiring different visual and texture directions.

The final PET film, appearance, texture and gloss are confirmed according to the selected physical sample.

Wood-Grain Transfer

Wood-Grain Transfer is a surface process that can be discussed for projects requiring a wood-look appearance.

Wood-Grain Transfer is the surface process. Wood Grain is the appearance direction.

The available color, grain pattern and final appearance are confirmed according to the selected sample and project requirements.

PVDF

PVDF can be discussed as a surface system for project-specific requirements.

PVDF availability alone does not mean a standard interior aluminum honeycomb panel is automatically suitable for long-term outdoor use.

Outdoor suitability must be reviewed according to the complete panel construction, adhesive, surface system, edge sealing, environment and installation system.

Appearance & Texture Directions

Appearance & Texture Directions describe the visual or tactile result the buyer wants to achieve.

The available combination of finish system, color, texture and appearance is confirmed according to the selected sample and project requirement.

Wood Grain

Wood Grain can be discussed for furniture, cabinet, wall and other interior decorative applications.

Wood Grain describes the appearance direction and should not automatically be treated as the same thing as Wood-Grain Transfer.

Stone Look

Stone Look can be discussed for projects requiring decorative stone-inspired surface appearances.

The final pattern, color and gloss are confirmed by approved physical sample.

Fabric / Woven Texture

Fabric / Woven Texture can be discussed for projects requiring a textile-inspired decorative appearance.

The final texture and visual effect depend on the selected surface reference and physical sample.

Brushed

Brushed appearance can be discussed where a directional metallic surface effect is required.

Where direction matters, the intended grain or brushing direction should be confirmed for the project.

Soft-Touch / Skin-Feel

Soft-Touch / Skin-Feel finishes can be discussed where a softer tactile surface direction is required.

The final tactile and visual effect is confirmed by the approved physical sample.

Matte

Matte appearance can be discussed for projects requiring a lower-gloss visual direction.

The final gloss level and appearance are confirmed by physical sample.

Solid Color

Solid Color surfaces can be discussed according to the project color requirement.

RAL, Pantone or NCS references can be discussed where relevant, but the final production appearance is confirmed against the approved physical sample and order specification.

Metallic Effect

Metallic Effect surfaces can be discussed for projects requiring a metallic visual appearance.

The final color, texture and gloss depend on the selected surface reference and approved physical sample.

Face Skin and Back Skin Finish Selection

Face Skin and Back Skin can use matching or different surface finishes depending on the project.

The two sides do not have to use the same finish system, appearance or color.

The final combination is confirmed according to the panel specification, selected samples and order requirements.

Color References and QTM Surface Codes

Color and surface references help define the required appearance before production.

Digital references are useful for initial selection, but they should not be treated as the final production standard.

QTM Surface References

QTM reference codes are Qitianmei surface-selection references.

They help identify a particular surface direction, color or decorative appearance within the Qitianmei Surface Collection.

They should not be interpreted as equivalent RAL, Pantone or NCS colors unless separately matched and confirmed.

Where a QTM reference is available, buyers can provide the QTM code when requesting a sample or preparing an inquiry.

RAL, Pantone and NCS References

RAL, Pantone and NCS color references can be discussed according to the project.

A standard color reference can be used as a communication starting point, but the final production color should be confirmed against the approved physical sample and order specification.

QTM reference codes should not be automatically mapped to RAL, Pantone or NCS values.

Confirm the Final Appearance by Physical Sample

Digital swatches, website images and screen displays are for selection reference only.

The perceived color, texture and gloss can vary between:

screens
devices
lighting conditions
photography
image reproduction
printing

For this reason, the final production appearance should not be confirmed from a digital image alone.

Final color, texture, gloss and visual appearance are confirmed against the approved physical sample and order specification.

Where surface direction, grain direction or other visual details are important, they should also be confirmed before production.

PVDF and Outdoor Project Requirements

PVDF is available as a surface system for project-specific requirements.

PVDF alone does not establish outdoor suitability.

Outdoor suitability depends on the complete project configuration, including:

panel construction
adhesive
surface system
edge sealing
environment
installation system

Projects involving outdoor exposure or special environmental conditions should be reviewed separately.

Specific outdoor service life, weatherability, UV life or other long-term performance should not be assumed from the surface system alone.

How to Select a Surface Finish

01 Choose the Finish System

Start by identifying the appropriate surface system or process for the project.

Options can include Powder Coating, Water-Based Paint, PVC Decorative Film, PET Decorative Film, Wood-Grain Transfer and PVDF.

02 Choose the Appearance & Texture Direction

Define the visual or tactile direction you want, such as Wood Grain, Stone Look, Fabric / Woven Texture, Brushed, Soft-Touch / Skin-Feel, Matte, Solid Color or Metallic Effect.

03 Review a Physical Sample

Select a QTM surface reference, standard color reference or other appearance direction and review the corresponding physical sample where available.

The physical sample should be used to confirm color, texture, gloss and overall appearance.

04 Confirm With the Panel Specification

The surface finish should be confirmed together with the complete panel specification, including the application, panel size, Overall Panel Thickness, Face Skin Thickness, Back Skin Thickness and other project requirements.
